Scottish Government commits to a Good Food Nation Bill in the next year

Earlier this week First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced that the Scottish Government would bring forward the Good Food Nation Bill in the next year. Nourish Scotland alongside partners in the Scottish Food Coalition are excited by the renewed commitment and are looking forward to working with the Government to ensure the bill is ambitious and robust enough to tackle the interlinked challenges facing Scotland’s food system. We remain committed a Good Food Nation Bill that puts the right to food into Scottish law, takes a whole-system approach and establishes a Food Commission to drive vital changes in our society and environment.
