  • Food and Drink ‘Teach Meet’ – an insight into progression pathways for careers in the thriving Food and Drink industry – National Library of Scotland, Edinburgh,

Tuesday 8th September, 4.30pm – 7.30pm.

Network with a number of food education partners who support the recommendations of Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce with guidance and advice on careers in food and drink in Scotland followed by short presentations from Education Scotland, SQA, Scottish Food and Drink Federation, College Development Network and QMU, along with case studies from primary and secondary schools. The evening will end with a chance to visit the ‘Lifting the Lid’ exhibition at NLS, showcasing food and drink in Scotland through the ages.
Food for Thought Showcase at SLF – Wednesday 23rd and Thursday 24th September. Even if you cannot attend the SECC for this event, please ‘save the date’ as Education Scotland will be hosting live GLOW sessions and looking for schools to engage with the days, sharing information as to how you celebrate ‘food celebration day’ in your own establishments.
