Welcome back
Many of you will be returning to school and college this week, after the Summer holiday. Welcome back! The Summer is a relatively quiet time for me and my team, and we took the opportunity to press-on with developments.
We commenced the reviews of NPA Digital Media (Basics and Editing) and NPA Web Design Fundamentals in late June and NPA/NC Computer Games Development in July. I announced two new developments relating to cyber security in July. One relates to teaching and learning material for the existing NPA and the other relates to new advanced awards in this area. We published new formative assessments for Internet Safety and commenced the production of new teaching material for the refreshed PC Passport. Check the blog for a full list of what’s been happening. I also did a radio interview for EduTalk. The show was recorded and will be aired on 19 September. It was an interview about current, or forthcoming, developments in Computing and should be of interest to teachers and lecturers.
I should add that we passed 800 followers on Twitter over the Summer – and that’s a great way to keep in touch with developments. So, feel free to follow us.
As always, you’re welcome to get involved. Most of the above links include contact information so don’t hesitate to get in touch. Finally, good luck to everyone who got their exam results today. There’s never been a better time to commence a career in computing!
