MHW update
Hi everyone,
Apologies for the lack of activity on here over the past few months – things have been a bit hectic.
I just wanted to provide an update on a few things to keep you all in the loop.
MHW Level 6 Award – we are progressing well with this development but can’t quite believe how quickly the time has passed this year – i’m sure it’s been the same for you all. The award will be available for delivery from session 22-23 but unfortunately we cannot provide a timescale for exactly when materials will be available. We are working hard to make sure the units are available ASAP.
SOLAR – Apologies for the hold up with the availability of the other 2 level 4 SOLAR assessments. There have been some changes in the team that manage this work so unfortunately this led to a delay. They should be available online very soon.

Hey Marion – the level 6 Units are written and vetted. They just need to be formally validated following our processes and policies. I would hope that these can be made available before the end of the year to allow teachers/lecturers the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the content and decide if they wish to offer. The Award will be available for implementation in Session 2023/24. As this level will have a much greater focus on the application of theory, this will have approval conditions and won’t be on SQA’s auto-approved list. More info to follow soon – hope you’re well :o)
