NPA Cyber Security support materials update
It’s been a while since I last updated you on the new materials to support NPA Cyber Security. Firstly, my apologies for the delay. I hoped to have them ready for the new term. The delay has been caused by a number of factors. The good news is that the materials are complete and ready to publish. The enhanced materials not only look (a lot) better than the original materials but we’ve also plugged some of the gaps in the material by adding more explanations and examples. I hope to distribute the updated guides before the end of this month.
Our plan is to send at least one complete set of the materials (which include an Educator’s Guide and Learners’ Guides) to every school and college in Scotland, with additional copies sent to those centres that have entered learners for the qualification. Unfortunately, we won’t have enough copies to send complete class sets but additional copies will be inexpensive and we’ll let you know how to order these. We will also provide PDFs (of all the materials) to every centre.
Once we distribute the enhanced materials, we plan to provide some training on their use in the classroom. So look out for more information about this in the coming weeks. In the meantime, please contact Emma if you want to know more about the materials or any other aspect of the qualification.
