Scots Language – Scots in Schools Conference
Last Thursday we ran a couple of workshops at Education Scotland’s Scots in Schools conference. It was a really interesting day, with Alasdair Allan launching the Scottish Government’s Scots Language Policy, a keynote address from James Robertson, and a chance to meet Hamish MacDonald, the new Scots Scriever.
Our workshop focused on the Scots Language Award, and how to deliver it to different groups of students. We’ve uploaded our slides for any and all to view and download.
Along with a series of workshops on teaching scots in primary and secondary settings, the conference offered information and stalls from publishers and broadcasters using Scots.
