Students demonstrate their games
I was invited to West College Scotland (Paisley campus) yesterday to observe their HNC Computer Games Development students showcase their projects to local primary children. The idea was to “test” their games on the children who then voted on their favourite game. The college Principal awarded the prizes at the end.
The idea worked really well by not only giving students feedback on the software but also engaging young learners in software creation. I really enjoyed the experience and the children appeared to have a great time.
The college offers the HNC and HND in Computer Games Development and the Course Leader told me that the demand for places (for next session) is the best ever, with demand out-stripping availability.
Please contact Helen if you want to know more about the HNC/D Computer Games Development or contact Aneta about the NPA Computer Games Development.

Its a very good idea for the students to give their computer games for testing to seniors. Development isn’t as easy as it seems sometimes and it’s always good to have a feedback. Its kind sounds like a mini contest focused on learning and playing. It’s good to know what other colleges do, to boost the learning procedure.
it is good that the young developers be engaged in all aspects of software creation……this is an awesome idea
