Review of the year
I like to look back over the year at this time. The year had many highlights – and some low lights.
The highlights include: making the new PDA in Software Development available to centres; passing 700 followers on Twitter; Emma joining the team; finalising the new PC Passport units; Aneta joining us; PC Passport was validated; we updated Internet Safety; we produced a new NPA in Software Development; we re-organised our online groups; the new version of HNC/D Interactive Media was validated; Hilary joined the team; we re-started Quality Network meetings for SVQ centres; Natalie joined the team; and HNC/D Computer Games Development was re-validated.
The low lights include having to cancel this year’s Heads of Computing event due to staffing shortages and the team change – of which there were many. But Emma returns in January so the team will get back to normal – with additional help from Hilary. I’ll write more about the team when I return in January.
But, until then, me and my team wish you all a very good holiday and I’d especially like to thank everyone who worked with us during 2016.
