I recently updated the portfolio diagram, which illustrates the range of vocational qualifications available to schools, colleges and training centres. You can download it here. I know that many schools (and some colleges) do their curriculum planning for next year around this time, so it seems like a good time to remind you of the choices available to centres.
Schools may be particularly interested in Cyber Security (SCQF Levels 4, 5 and 6), Digital Passport (SCQF Levels 4, 5 and 6), Digital Media (SCQF Levels 4 and 5) and Web Design (SCQF Level 5), the last two of which have recently been refreshed. The Award in Internet Safety is popular in the both the school and college sectors.
Colleges may be interested in the PDA Software Development (SCQF Levels 7, 8 and 9), HNC Data Analytics, HNC/D Technologies in Business, which is a new award, and HND Computer Science, which is currently being revised. The new HNC Cyber Security is in development right now and some centres have already expressed an interest in offering it from next August.
For training centres the Diploma in Data Analytics is receiving a lot of interest, as is the Diploma in Information Security.
