HND Cyber Security framework
I’m pleased to let you know that we have finalised the framework for HND Cyber Security. You can see it here. I think that it has shaped up well, being a nice mix of the academic (such as Cyber Security Mathematics and Professionalism & Ethics) and the vocational (such as Data Security and Blockchain).
The next stage in the process is to ask for volunteers to write and vet the units, which will be a big task. There are 17 new or revised units in total. Caitlin will be asking for volunteers in the near futures so look out for that (on this blog and elsewhere).
The qualification structure may be tweaked this side of validation but I don’t expect there to be any major changes. Of course, the validation panel may have other ideas and it’s the prerogative of the panel to like or dislike what the QDT has came up with.
We hope to validate the award in Spring 2019 and have it available to centres from July. Please contact Caitlin if you want more information about the award or volunteer to get involved in unit writing.
