NPA Digital Animation SCQF level 5
We are pleased to let you know that we’ve revised our National Progression Award (NPA) in Digital Media Animation SCQF level 5 (G9FC 45). This award has been replaced by a new NPA titled Digital Animation SCQF level 5 (GV7N 45) available from 1 August 2025.
The NPA in Digital Animation has a more streamlined framework and is made up of one double credit mandatory unit and one single credit mandatory unit. There are no optional units in the framework. For more details, please refer to the group award specification which can be found on the NPA Digital Animation web page. In addition, an integrated assessment support pack (ASP) has been created and is available on SQA Secure. Your SQA Co-ordinator will be able to help with accessing the ASP.
The NPA in Digital Media Animation (G9FC 45) is now in its lapsing period and will end on 31 July 2028. Centres wishing to continue to deliver this award please ensure candidates are registered for component units by 31 July 2027.
