Digital guides now available for use!

Thanks to everyone who came along to the launch event for our digital learning guides at Wheatley Academy’s excellent conference facilities in Glasgow last week. It was a really enjoyable day and hopefully worthwhile for everyone to finally get to see what the guides look like.

The event was introduced by Alastair MacGregor, Head of STEM at SQA and began with keynotes from Colin Cook, Head of Digital at Scottish Government and David McNeill, the new Director of SCVO. Contributors also included Graeme Hamilton, Innovation Manager at Wheatley Group, myself and Liz Sinclair from Digital Literacy team at SQA.

Highlight of the day was listening to the community janitors from Wheatley who are working with volunteers from SQA to increase their digital skills. They were just fantastic and we could not have paid for better endorsement of the learning guides and how much they have helped them to become more confident using online technology.

Due to pre-election restrictions we won’t be able to share video of the event until after 5 May but in the meantime presentation slides from some of the presenters are available here:
