Second QDT meeting for PDA in Software Development
The Qualification Development Team (QDT) for the PDA in Software Development met for the second time this morning. I announced the development in June and the first meeting of the QDT took place in August.
The purpose of the meeting was to review progress. We’ve done a lot in a short time. A QDT has been formed, a Lead Developer selected, the aims of the award have been decided, a structure agreed, and the entry requirements have been discussed.
The next stages are: (1) writing the component units; and (2) consulting on our plans. We’ve already carried out some qualitative consultation, so we think that we’re heading in the right direction, but the next stage is a wider consultation with more people.
I’m hoping that this new qualification will be popular in centres. CodeClan will be offering the award as soon as it’s available. We’re aiming to have the new qualification available to centres from January 2016. Please contact Helen for more information.
