Review of the year

Twenty twenty-three has been a busy year for the team. The first part of the year was taken up with the Diploma in Digital Technology, a new Competence Based Qualification (CBQ) that replaced a number of existing awards, and the development of units within NPA Esports. We were also busy at that time with finalising the grading models for Next Gen Computing awards. NPA Esports was made available to centres in April. The new CBQ diplomas were made available in June, when I also announced that NPA Computing was going to be developed. In July I announced that NPA Data Science was going to be reviewed. In August I provided an update on Next Gen and commenced the development of NPA Computing. Amy left the team in September and was replaced by Gayle in November.

Computing remains a vibrant subject so I’m sure that more new qualifications will be coming next year. Watch this space! The team wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
