Lead Person Network event
We had to cancel last year’s Heads of Computing event due to staff shortages. That was a pity since we had been running them, without interruption, for over a decade. I’m pleased to let you know that these events will resume next year.
Some time ago we established the Lead Person Network (LPN). The LPN is a group of college staff who we consult with about various aspects of Computing qualifications and who cascade information from SQA to their respective teams. We have renamed the Heads of Computing event the “Lead Person Network annual meeting” to reflect the organisational changes that have taken place in colleges.
My team met last week to discuss next year’s event. It will take place in March (precise date to be decided) and will follow the traditional format (key speaker, qualification update, networking, etc.). It will be a full day event held, most likely, in Glasgow or Edinburgh. This is simply a heads-up to let you know that the event will resume next year. Look out for more information on the blog. In the meantime, please contact Helen if you want to know more about the LPN or next year’s event.
