HNC/D Interactive Media review
The QDT for the review of HNC/D Interactive Media met yesterday afternoon for the fourth time. The previous meeting was held last January. The purpose of the meeting was to review progress and agree future tasks and timescales. I recently met with the Lead Developer and we felt it was a good time for the QDT to meet again.
The QDT is proposing new titles for the awards:
- HNC Digital Design & Web Development
- HND Web Development
- HND Digital Development.
This development has been held up by staff changes in the team but it’s now progressing well. We hope to validate the award in April and have it available to centres by June. At this stage, the QDT is busy writing the component Units and the Lead Developer is busy writing the Group Award Specification.
I’m pleased about how this development is shaping up. The draft frameworks look exciting, with lots of new content, reflecting the changes in the job market for web developers and digital designers. The revised award should be popular in centres since there is significant demand for skills in these areas, particularly web developers.
