External committees

I’ve been working on a diagram to show the various external and internal committees (and meetings) that the team use for advice and support.

External stakeholder groups

The main strategic influence is provided by the Sector Panel, which is made up of representatives of colleges, schools, universities, industry, national organisations and professional bodies. The Qualification Support Team (QST) advises us about the support that is needed by centres to help them deliver our awards. The Lead Person Network (LPN) consists of a representative of each college so that we can communicate with colleges – and they can communicate with us. Qualification Development Teams (QDTs) consist of practitioners (lecturers, teachers and employers) who create (or revise) qualifications. The SVQ/CBS Network meeting advises us about the needs of SQV/CBQ centres. We also receive input from internal sources, principally External Verifiers, Business Development people, and the stats team.

We’re always looking for people to serve on these committees so please contact Helen if you’re interested in serving on the Sector Panel or the Lead Person Network or contact Aneta if you’re interested in serving on the Qualification Support Team (Qualification Design Teams are formed as-and-when needed).
