Welcome to Emma
I’m pleased to let you know that Emma Campos joined the team yesterday. The team has experienced a lot of changes recently. Over the last 18 months, Hilary and Caroline have moved on and Helen and (now) Emma have joined the team.
Emma comes from the Curriculum for Excellence team, where she was involved in the new Computing Science qualifications. Her knowledge and experience of that vital development will be a great help to the team.
Now that the team is back to full strength, I can divide the portfolio between Emma and Helen. Emma will be the Lead Officer for the non-advanced (SCQF Levels 3-6) part of the portfolio and Helen will be the Lead Officer for the advanced part (SCQF Levels 7-10). This diagram illustrates who does what.
Of course, it will take time for Emma to get her head around her new responsibilities but we’re all looking forward to the challenges ahead. It’s been a difficult few months for me and Helen and we’re delighted to have Emma in the team. I’d appreciate if you would address queries to the appropriate person (contact Emma for non-advanced and contact Helen for advanced) since this will speed-up our response to you.
The biggest compliment that I can give my team (old and new) is that lots of people have commented, over the years, that “I thought you had a much bigger team, Bobby”. It’s a small team with a big portfolio so it’s nice when people think that the service that we (normally) provide is what you would expect from a larger team.
