PDA Software Development Units
One of the conditions arising from the recent validation event for the new PDA in Software Development was to finalise the component Units. We’ve been working on them since then and they’re almost ready for publishing.
The PDA (at each level) consists of three, double credit, Units in Analysis & Design, Implementation & Testing, and a Project unit. SQA units are written by practitioners, checked by vetters, and validated by SQA officers so they go through a rigorous quality assurance process.
We hope to finalise, code and publish the Units before 31 January. Contact Helen for more information about this award.

This is an informative update regarding the development of units for a new PDA in Software Development. It’s good to hear that the units are almost ready to be published after going through a thorough quality assurance process. Finalizing and publishing the units by the end of January will allow learners to start working towards this new award soon after. I hope the author and their team are able to meet that timeline and wish them luck in getting the remaining work done. Publishing new PDAs can be a lot of work, so kudos to them for getting this far! I may pass this information along to some colleagues who could be interested in learning more about this new award opportunity.
Thanks, I’ll keep it in mind
