Today we launched the Diploma and Advanced Diploma: Applications of ICT in Libraries. The launch event [MP4] was held in the Menzies Hotel, Glasgow and was a great success. These awards are joint partnership between the Scottish Library Information Council (SLIC) and SQA, funded by the Big Lottery. Around 50 people attended and the presentations were well received. Today we received confirmation that Walter Patterson will lead the NC Computing Review. This initial scoping exercise will allow Walter to create a Qualification map, consult on options and produce a development plan. We will need a Qualification design team (QDT) set up by mid January.
