Working with SQA

One of the unique characteristics of SQA is the way that we work with practitioners to develop qualifications. Although it’s mostly teachers and lecturers who develop the awards, we also like to work with people with no teaching experience but who have experience of other aspects of life (such as business or industry or the third sector). My team try to be transparent and fair about appointing people by involving as many people, from different backgrounds, as possible. We like to work with experienced people but also some new blood from time to time. There are various roles, ranging from checking an assessment to leading a national development.

I’ve devised a form to capture some information about people who want to work with us. The form is very straight-forward and simply captures some essential information about you so that we can find the right people for the right jobs. It’s not mandatory for you to fill the form in but, if you do, we will automatically consider you when appropriate curriculum development tasks arise. So please complete the form and add your name to the list.

We recently created a project feedback form to permit people who work with us to give feedback on their experiences. This new form compliments that one by capturing information about people who want to work with us.
