Welcome back
SQA returned today, after the Christmas holiday. Most schools and colleges also return today. I wrote a review of the year in my final post of last year, which highlighted the high (and low) points of 2015. So, in this post, I will talk about the coming year.
My immediate priority is to replace Helen, who was successful in getting Caroline’s permanent position. We’re a small team so losing one member of it is significant. We’re having to prioritise our work and some projects may be delayed. Two immediate priorities are addressing the validation conditions for PC Passport and PDA Software Development. One casualty of the reduction in staff has been the various HNC/D developments, which have had to take a back seat while deadlines approached for other projects.
Last year was an exciting and productive time for the team. I’m hoping that 2016 will be the same. Until we’re back to full strength (I will keep you posted), I would ask you to be patient if you don’t get immediate replies to your queries.

Good Post
We are confident that we will be given the green light to proceed with this development. I’d like to continue to add members to the Qualification Development Team (QDT) so that we can make an immediate start when the funding is confirmed.
Like preparing your year-end evaluation, crafting a report requires consideration of facts and distinct insights. It is useful to reflect on both successes and challenges in order to develop a comprehensive report that serves as a solid foundation for future work. I appreciate your expressing your point of view.
