National Qualifications

Throughout the challenges of the past year, the whole of Scotland’s education and training system has been working together to ensure learners studying at every level receive the results they deserve.

SQA is continuing to work closely with its partners from across Scotland’s education and training sector through the National Qualifications 2021 Group* and the Higher National and Vocational Qualifications (HNVQ) 2021 Group**, and we are committed to supporting employers and training providers in their assessment of this year’s candidates.

We have recently published a series of webinars – Systems Quality Assurance Solutions – which gives employers and training providers an overview of the guidance that is available from SQA, including how to use technology in the assessment process, useful guides on using SQA Connect, and an introduction to the role of the SQA co-ordinator.

Also available is our team of SQA Account Managers who are on-hand to help employers and training providers with their enquiries and help them deliver for this year’s cohort of candidates.

SQA has also produced a Q&A for employers and training providers that answers a number of the common questions about support and arrangements for this year.

All these resources can be found on our Qualifications 2021 webpage.
