Consultation: Presenting Data — NQ Science Subjects (Reminder)

The production, use and interpretation of graphs and charts is a common feature across all of our NQ science qualifications. To ensure a consistent approach for learners undertaking more than one science subject, we have developed a document that provides advice and guidance in relation to how the production, use and interpretation of graphs and charts will be approached in all SQA NQ assessments from academic session 2016/17 onwards.

This guidance document provides a consistent approach to the production, use and interpretation of graphs and charts, while also recognising the differences that still need to be applied to each discrete NQ science area.

The new guidance document is available below. Before it is implemented, we are seeking views from teachers, lecturers and assessors.

To access the guidance document, please click on the following weblink – Presenting Data – NQ Science Subjects

To provide feedback on the guidance document, please click on the following weblink – Presenting Data Feedback Form.  Please note that the deadline for providing feedback is the 22 December 2015.
