Improving lives with childhood practice conference

One of the SQA Care team will be attending the Improving lives with childhood practice conference that is on in Edinburgh tomorrow.

The national conference is to celebrate the success of the award in improving the lives of children and families and helping Scotland become the best place to grow up.

This one-day conference is organised by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), in partnership with Education Scotland as a Scottish Learning Festival Extra event.

Delegates will have the opportunity to hear from keynote speakers and there will also be a series of workshops showcasing examples of childhood practice from across Scotland, poster displays of practice and a session looking to the future of childhood practice with confidence.

The conference will be opened by Anna Fowlie, Chief Executive and Jim McGoldrick, Convenor, SSC.

Key note speaker Aileen Campbell SDP, Minister for Children and Young People will be discussing the Launch of the revised Standard for Childhood Practice (2015).
