Merry Christmas from the team
Emma, Helen and I would like to wish you a nice holiday when it comes. We stop today until Wednesday, 3 January. But, in the meantime, you can contact us in the usual way.
It’s been a good year for the team. It started with the validation of HNC Data Analytics, followed later in the year with the validation of HNC/D Technologies in Business. Two NPAs were refreshed this year: NPA Digital Media and NPA Web Design. We commenced the review of HND Computer Science and started creating a new HNC Cyber Security. Also being reviewed is NPA and NC Computer Games Development. Some individual units are particularly noteworthy. We created a new unit in Artificial Intelligence and we’re currently producing a suit of units on coding.
We got more involved in creating support materials than normal this year. The Internet Safety materials were refreshed – and moved to SQA Academy. And we’re in the middle of creating new materials for NPA Cyber Security.
Finally, a range of stakeholder events took place – including Sector Panel, Qualification Support Team, Lead Person Network and Quality Network meetings.
We’d like to thank everyone for their help during the last 12 months – particularly members of committees, the External Verification team and unit writers/vetters. We couldn’t do our job without you.

I’ve been asked to look at the NPA Computer Games Development course with a possible start date of June 2018. Is there much point in us starting to deliver this in June or would you recommend that we wait for a revised/updated version. I have concerns that the course may be outdated as it has not been updated since 2010. You advice would be greatly received.
