Generic skills in SQA qualifications – Focus Group

SQA is committed to skills development. Our Core Skills Framework forms the basis of the broad generic skills that learners develop when studying for our qualifications. These are the skills that learners will need in their everyday lives and in the workplace, so it is important that our skills framework remains relevant and up to date.

Our colleagues in the RPSS (Research, Policy, Standards and Statistics) team have been carrying out a survey on the development of generic skills in SQA qualifications. They are particularly keen on hearing your views on digital competence in ICT.

They are currently looking for 2-3 secondary school representatives to participate in a Focus Group discussion, which will take place sometime in late August. Therefore, this would be an opportunity for you to have a say on the development of generic skills in SQA qualifications.

If you would like more information or would like to participate in the Focus Group, please contact Andrew Kerr.
