We’re looking for volunteers…

In 2016, SQA revised the Internet Safety Unit and, in February this year, online teaching and learning materials were made available on the SQA Academy, in order to support the delivery of this award. The online learning materials can be accessed by teachers and learners via the following link (https://www.sqaacademy.org.uk/course/view.php?id=667).

We have now developed formative assessments, as additional support materials. These assessments have taken the form of four quizzes, which cover the different sections of the Internet Safety Unit and allow learners to self-assess. However, before we make these available, we want to ensure that they are fit for purpose.

Therefore, we are currently looking for volunteers to trial these formative questions and provide feedback. It would be great if you could even use them with some of your learners. It is not a requirement to be delivering the course, as we believe that these questions assess general skills in staying safe online, which is of great importance to all learners.

If you would be interested in pre-testing these formative assessments, please contact me by Friday, 26th May. We will be selecting our volunteers thereafter. Also, please forward this on to any colleagues who you think may be interested.
